MY SERVICES
Carpentry
If its made of wood, plywood, MDF or chipboard and it needs trimmed, cut, shaved, fixed, hung, screwed, glued or renewed, I can do that.
Plumbing
If water is coming out and it shouldn’t be, if water isn’t coming out when it should be, if where the water comes out is old, ugly, stiff or rusty then I can sort that.
Electrical
If its dark and the switch doesn’t work, the socket is broken or the wrong colour, the bulb went pop, I can change that.
Painting
If it needs to be protected, rejuvenated, filled, sanded, primed or is simply the wrong colour I have brushes and rollers.
Tiling & Plastering
If its bumpy and needs to be smooth. If the tiles have cracked you up, I can make it nice again.
If your DIY skills have gone on permanent vacation or the toolbox has long since rusted shut and you need a hand give me a shout.
ABOUT ME
My name is Dez and I can take care of all those jobs that just won’t go away. No task too small. If you can’t do it and it needs done, I can.
Since 2004 I have had a very successful Bathroom and Kitchen installation business. With a unique skillset of all trades taken care of by myself. This allowed my customers to know exactly who and what they were getting. Building a close relationship helped create trust between myself and my customers.
Many of my customers come back to me and ask about all kinds of tasks they have outstanding and ask if I can do that. So as time marches on and my knees start to complain I am now looking to do less of the big renovations and take care of your smaller tasks that just won’t go away.
As you will imagine the tasks involved in Bathroom and Kitchen installation are extensive. Design, project management, plumbing, Joinery, plastering, tiling, painting, lighting, flooring, woodwork and finishing’s will mean that I should be able to tackle anything you have annoying you.
Based in Glenrothes working throughout Fife and Edinburgh I have a huge collection of wonderful customers who would love to talk about or show off the work I have completed on their behalf.
My workshop allows me to build bespoke pieces of furniture and cabinetry. Also restore or repurpose that old piece of furniture you love so much but has seen better days.
I regard myself as being respectful and friendly so if you have an elderly parent or friend that needs somebody reliable to do the odd job, or perhaps pick up and build some Ikea furniture or other flat pack stuff just give me a shout.

Over the last few years, we have used Dez for various jobs in the house and in the garden. When we needed a handrail on our stairs, we had the mobility people install it for us… they screwed a plank of wood to the wall and the handrail to the wood. It became loose and dangerous after a few days. I told a friend what a bad job they did and she recommended I speak to Dez “He’s a Handy Man to Know” she said with a smile. Dez popped round and had it sorted in no time. He took everything off, found the studs in the wall and not only did he fit a really nice secure handrail, he also filled in all the screw holes left by the other cowboys. He is the friendliest chap you could meet and there’s nothing he can’t do. We’ve since had him round fixing a plumbing issue, repaired a damaged bit of wall, painting and even building us a bespoke wall for our TV to hide all the ugly wires. We would highly recommend Dez to anyone. He really is THE Handyman to Know!

As a landlord of a few student properties in Cupar and St. Andrews, Dez has taken care of the majority of the property maintenance. Especially during change over of tenants. Fresh paint, fixing of doors etc, new lighting, refresh grouting and replace mouldy sealant bringing the place up to scratch before new students arrive.

My Parents are in there 80’s and have been taken advantage of by so called Tradespeople. Dez was working for us changing a radiator and a kitchen tap. We chatted about my parents situation and he said he would look after anything they needed. He has fixed handles, leaks, fitted grab rails in the hall and shower area, painted, re-sealed, built furniture from Ikea and also made them some book ends and picture frames for there 60th wedding Anniversary. They love having him around and they always have a good laugh. Dez says my mum makes the best Lemon drizzle cake. He is a good guy to have in your phone book.

If you need a job done Dez is the person to call. He has been our “go to” person for all sorts of household issues. He has fixed every tap, changed pipes, replaced showers, extractor fans and toilet seats. He has even laid carpet tiles and painted walls for me.
